1:54 pm - destroying our Greek system?!?

I know this seems random, but i thought it was pretty LOL-worthy for us girls at least.... i was watching this show called The Middleman lastnight and the middleman guy was processed by a sorority girl that is hell bent on destroying our beloved Greek System(!!!) and eventually the world. Did anyone else see it? I know it's so totally nerdy of me to ask!!!

I checked out this guy Layton's MySpace because his song "Dont Stop Living" was on the show and it was good, but I LOVE this one song called "Time Time." ... its kinda like OMD (from the 80s. remember them? lol). What do you think?

Hey ladies! Just thought I'd share some of Eta Eta's (UCF) most recent triumphs. :)

We initiated 18 girls on March 30th, our Kappa class.
We just held our first annual Kappa Kook-off (proceeds benefitting RIF of course)
We came in 2nd place in an event called Can-struction in Greek Week
We came in 3rd place in Greek Week overall
And last, but not least...

WE WON CHAPTER OF THE YEAR AT UCF!!! It was a big honor, and one that we were thrilled to receive.

1:23 pm - Today's USA TODAY Crossword!

How surprised was I to see this in the crossword puzzle today! The answer was "coeds"... so I suppose any greek organization could have been used.

10:22 am - Pearl Dangles!

I was wondering if anyone had a great, cheap, website that sells the pearl dangles, and which type you normally get. I've found a lot of websites that work, but I'd prefer one that is tried and true.... and recommended. Also, I was wondering if any chapters do a special gold/pearly dangle for the person with the highest GPA. Thanks!

11:49 am - Lucky 7

Fireside was last night with initiation this morning. While I was only able to attend Fireside, here is the photo I snapped of the "Lucky 7" class that was initiated this morning. I really enjoyed attending their Fireside last night since it was the first time I got to read the alumna part.

1:49 am - Founders Quiz

At Mu province it was brought up that there is a personality quiz out there somewhere... I was wondering if anyone could help me locate this. It's Which Founder Are You? I don't know the exact title and I looked on our website, but no luck. If someone could help me out that would be great. THANKS!

3:10 pm - Kappa Crocs!

Hey, everyone! My name is Kirsten from the Eta Eta Chapter at the University of Central Florida. Just to preface this, I am a HUGE fan of Crocs. I own three pairs, and I pretty much swear by them. I have been contacting a sales coordinator, and they are willing to do a custom order of Kappa Crocs. I just wanted to know if anyone would be interested in doing this...they would be cheaper than normal Crocs ($24 a pair), however, it would probably even out to their average price of $30 a pair with shipping. Just imagine: a KKG logo on the side with KKG and a key on the strap or something like that. Any ideas? Yes or no? I just thought it would be awesome to be the only sorority with customized Crocs! If you're interested, let me know - or talk about it with your chapter and let me know. You can message me or post on here if you want. I hope to hear from you all! Also, I posted this and a picture on the Kappa Kappa Gamma - Global Facebook group too.

I am excited to announce that Eta Eta pledged 42 lovely ladies on Sunday! Sadly, the only picture I have of all of them is from bid day and it's really small (I stole it from Facebook!)

And I am in LOVE with my key sister Val!

Best of luck to the rest of you with recruitment!

Hello Beautiful Ladies,

I'm the Education Chairman for Eta Eta @ The University of Central Florida and I'm already thinking about my programs for the fall. I want to do something fun and since I covered all of the pathways in the spring, I basically have a wide variety of things that I could do for program nights.

Do you have any ideas of how to make the heritage program fun? I did Jeopardy last semester, so I need to do something fun. wE ALSO do the heritage workshop/new member workshops at chapter, so these need to be interesting to girls that have been around for awhile.

Any suggestions would be awesome :)

Kappa Love,
Danielle :)

9:39 pm - Kappas in Texas

Hello! I'm moving to Texas to begin graduate studies at the University of North Texas this August. I'm interested in becoming active in the alum group in that area and also in finding out how I could become active with the chapter at UNT. If any of you are from that area or have any information on the Kappa alum associations in Texas, please let me know! I'd love to be more active with Kappa than I've been the past couple years.

12:56 am - Hello

Hi Ladies,

Please forgive me if this is totally irrelevant but I just got treated so badly in another sorority community that I was interested in joining as an alumnae that I am really terribly upset right now and honestly quite shocked and horrified. I was not in a sorority in college (my adviser made me choose between my major or Greek Life---he was crazy), but I have recently learned that I can become a "Sister" as an alumnae. I contacted Kappa HQ and so I'm waiting to hear back from them, but I was hoping someone could give me some more details or help or guidance? There was a KKG at my alma mater, and I am currently working as an independent scholar in the same town as Dickinson while I take time off between my Master's and Ph.D. Is there someway I can join KKG through my alma mater or an alumnae group?

I'm sorry if this is so out-there, but I am really looking for a women's organization. I belong to the Junior League which is fantastic, I love the women in the H-burg JL, but I would like to expand a bit more and I always wanted to be in a Sorority. (I sound like an idiot, I'm sorry, it's late!)

Please feel free to e-mail me at: shaherazade@gmail.com

And if anyone has any Middle East-related finals coming-up that you need help with, please feel free to e-mail me, too! ;)

Thank you so much!!! I hope that this is not inconvenient.
